About Us

The Hellenic Cultural Society of Rochester is a not-for-profit, member-supported educational association in Rochester, NY. Members are generally interested in learning about Hellenic culture – its history as well as its manifestations and relevance to life today.
The society sponsors events such as lectures, presentations, panel discussions, performances, film screenings and exhibits in the Rochester area. We also have an annual Winter social event with a Greek theme. The topics of interest is broad, ranging from the ancient to the modern, on topics such as language, art, philosophy, science, history, politics, economics, and culture.
HCSR events are open to the public and serve to enrich the community.  Membership is our primary source of funding to make our events happen. Members also have the privilege of providing the board with suggestions and and other actionable feedback. Membership is open to anyone.
